The Mariological Institute of Torreciudad was created in 2002 as a result of an agreement between the Faculty of Theology at the University of Navarra and the Board of Torreciudad. Its purpose is to promote mariological studies and contribute, from a scientific perspective, to the dissemination of Marian devotion. The institute’s main activity is the publication of the “Scripta de Maria” yearbook.

- Director: José Antonio Riestra, professor at the Faculty of Theology of the University of the Holy Cross (Rome).
- Subdirector: Román Sol, associate professor of the Faculty of Theology at the University of Navarra.
- Subdirector: Luis Miguel Álvarez, doctor in Theology, rector of the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (Zaragoza).
- Secretary: Martín Ibarra Benlloch, Doctor of History.
